Hillsborough Area Regional TransitTravelling to downtown Tampa and the port, will take approximately 25 to 30 minutes. The single fare is $1.75.

HART (Hillsborough Area Regional Transit), run a regular bus service from the airport to downtown Tampa.

Route number 30 runs to Hanley Waters Plaza or East to the Marion Transit Centre every 15 minutes from 06:00 until 20:00 on weekdays and at 30 minute intervals at weekends.

Five buses leave throughout the day from the airport Monday to Friday at 09:30: 10:45: 12:15: 14:15 & 16:15

And at 10.00: 12 noon: 15:00 & 18:00 at weekends

The journey to Sarasota is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

From Sarasota the pick up location is at the Publix Supermarket in the University Walk Plaza located at Tuttle Ave and University Pkwy.  They pickup/drop off by the pond, next to the drive through pharmacy, at the East end of the plaza.  There is a covered area where you may wait for the van.  

Times from Sarasota to the airport Monday to Friday: 08:00, 10:30, 12 noon: 14:00 & 16:00

Weekends: 08:00, 10:30,13:30 & 16:30

Fares: Adult single $40:00 per person. Children aged 4-12 travel for $20.00. The journey is free for children under the age of 4

Greyhound Buses in Tampa

Greyhound Buses operate from downtown Tampa on 610 Polk Street.  If you need to get to the Greyhound Bus terminal the easiest way from the airport is by shuttle or taxi.

The Greyhound bus service operates to all parts of the USA and Canada.

A Greyhound bus service also operates to Orlando and Walt Disney World via Kissimmee.
